a purse- craft before the sun is even up...

Goooooooooooooood Morning. {yawn}

I logged on this morning to browse crafty blogs over coffee and well, I found that Papertrey Ink is hosting a challenge on Nicole's blog. I love their stamps and paper and ribbon and EVERYTHING they sell...I HAD to create something for Amanda's birthday and this challenge - It's in the bag! - is beyond perfect!

Her present includes some monogrammed tissues, I think are cute for her wedding, and a Purse Hook. I love these things. Have you seen them? You get two in a pack and they are used to keep your purse off the floor at a table or elsewhere - I use mine ALL THE TIME when traveling and eating out for dinner. Love! It! You can buy them at Walgreens for $8 for the set - the set includes one silver and one gold. Perfect for the lady that likes to be matchy-matchy, like moi.
I pulled out some girly supplies. I have plenty of paper-purse templates but created this new shape to make it unique. (Will try to post a template after I awaken a little more). I HAD to complete this early today as Bradyn arrives for a visit today - we are heading to wine country! yeah! My FAVORITE winery - Del Dotto Vineyards and lunch at Oakville Grocery.

I used this card for inspiration. The stamp set is from Papertrey, it is Spiral Bouquet.

I made this card last week for Amanda using Stamping Up supplies on hand - the Bloom sentiment is embossed on vellum - it appears off center but that is my sleepy photography.

The purse came together quickly using Basic Gray's Two Scoops paper, some ribbon on hand and these cute-cute folding clasps I got as gift from fellow SCS Stamper. I LOVE the final shape and it's so cute.I added another flower from the same stamp set - punched out using SU's scallop circle punch, a butterfly punch from Martha Stewart and more pink ribbon. There are Stickles on the flowers too.

I love how it all came together so quickly - especially, since I never did finish that cup of coffee. I got excited to craft!

Finally, wanted to show you a Thank You gift I created last week. This is for my boss and her admin for putting together some meetings for me these past few months. It's been busy at work..busy, busy... I wanted to show my appreciation. The are filled with Hershey's Kisses and strawberry candies.

The strawberry template is from mushi-pork on SCS.

I used Papertrey's stamp set - My Punny Valentine - for this sentiment You're Berry Sweet and the sweet strawberry stamp on the card. They both LOVED them and the candies.

Love you Mom and thanks all for visiting. Leave me a comment and tell me your favorite thing about Papertrey's Anniversary Celebration! Did you win anything?
